VOL.1 PT.9

SeJai, Nayt, Korin, Davis, and his wife Kim are only hours from Eillah and Ullmaz.  On Ullmazs' last beacon Eillahs' energy readings were almost back to normal.   But SeJai is overcome with a sense of failure in his oath to protect Eillah as he remembers why he took that oath.

Over a billion years ago there was a great war in the Universe.  The Deihnols, giant skeletal looking beings, who lived and roamed freely in space far in the outer reaches of the universe.  The Deihnols were often at war with each other.  Their battles would send waves of sound and gases rippling through space causing planets to fall off their axis, making suns'  go dead,  sent galaxies crashing  into one another, and created massive spinning space dusts that would smother anything in its path.
The inhabitants of the surviving planets finally banned together and found the Sylph.  At that time the Sylph lived in one large planet circling three small suns and even looked like a sun fooling many who passed by.
The united beings asked the Sylph to go and bring peace between the Deihnols to save the remaining worlds.    Many powerful Sylphs used great amounts of energy forming symbiosis with the Deihnols to negotiate peace between them and many of those Sylphs died achieving that goal.   The great war of the Deihnol served as a reminder to all Sylphs that powerful Sylphs are a gift to the universe and from that belief SeJai vowed to protect and teach Eillah. A loss of energy is the only way a Sylph can die and if properly taught a Sylph can live for thousands of years and a powerful Sylph is almost immortal.    SeJai ponders about how inexperienced Eillah is but knows its time to step up her teachings because she's like him and can't wait on the sidelines when danger is at the door.

MEANWHILE....

The SETI soldiers are also a few short hours from the commanders Kiribati estate.  The soldiers have orders to take the assassins and avoid harm to SeJai and his team if they are present.   Although, the commanders are not accustomed to Earth men bad business dealings they are no fools.  The commanders planned for a last stand attack, but only has a decoy, to give them time to take the weapons to the pick up location until the Thuyor Clan heads can come and claim them.  The commanders know they are no match for Sylphs and have no plans to fight.  They are loyal to the ultimate goal.
