Three days from Earth, Captain Siru reports their ETA to SETI and receives back clearance for landing. Prince SeJai, Lady Korin, and Military Commander Nayt depart on smaller cruiser to Earth as Captain Siru heads back to the Leti system to setup base camp.
SeJai and his team arrive at The United Nations Naval Base (aka SETI command) Imjin River, North Korea 5:00am. Upon landing Lady Korin did not get a response from SETI and the landing bay area was unexpectedly quiet and no one appeared to greet them. They exited the ship very cautiously and began venturing through the corridors looking for signs of movement.
When they came to the lower areas they discovered several disfigured charred and bloody human bodies, it was apparent a quick slaughter took place not to long ago, and the perpetrators used Fdan technology. SeJai starting thinking about one of FaSods' many crimes which was the misuse of Fdan technology as war weapons but Fdan technology, like several others, doesn't work with Earths' gravity and even more strange, LaSod only did deals with beings who have technology worth an exchange. They continued searching.
They went from area to area searching computers, hallways, labs, and then Nayt spotted a survivor only moments from death. Nayt quickly gives the survivor a sedative to relieve the obvious pain and hopefully answer questions.
The survivor screamed out in horror and then died.
Suddenly teams of soldiers came in yelling at them to put their hands in the air. SeJai didn't want any human causalities so he told Korin and Nayt to go cloak but it wasn't working. They starting running back to ship through the corridors as the soldiers were shooting and chasing them.
The soldiers shut down every door to the landing dock and SeJai was forced to leave the ship behind and retreat to the emergency contact.
They went to the top edge of the ship and jumped into the Imjin River.
