THE EXECUTIONERS' DAUGHTER
The executioners' identity is secret to everyone but the King, the Kings' court, the executioners' spouse and children. Tarah, the executioners' daughter and only child, loved her father. Her father was honest, caring, seemed to know everything about everything and Tarrah witnessed every execution by her fathers' request before and after her mothers' passing. Tarahs' father would tell her to not pity those who break the law and are executed but to pray there are no more executions. Years later as a beautiful young maiden, Tarah met a guy who was only visiting her land. The mans' name was Elliot whom was as smart and strong as he was handsome. Elliot held so many secrets about his life and homeland from Tarah but Tarah trusted Elliot and didn't push the issue. Elliot held no secret that he wanted Tarah for his wife.
But one dreadful afternoon Tarah heard news that an outsider failed to disclose his identity to a soldier and was arrested for spying which carries a death sentence. Tarah learned that it was Elliot and pleaded with her father to talk with the King but her father declined her pleas. On the day of Elliots' punishment the executioner was missing. The King postponed all executions and ordered in depth searches for him. The King suspected foul play and questioned Tarah. Being extremely dissatisfied with Tarahs' explanations, of not knowing where her father may be, the King ordered Tarah to home confinement until all is dissolved.
A few weeks later the King called Tarah to the court and to her surprise stood her father with three other men who look like army officials from the neighboring land.
The King stood and read his own decree: "It is ordered that the executioner Noltian Vemire is found guilty of treason, is sentenced to exile from these lands, and to be forever stripped of his goods and titles bestowed to him by the King. The prisoner Doctor Elliot Habei is cleared of all charges and granted permission to return to his post by the request of his commander General Aden in compliance with our peace treaty. Tarah Vemire is removed from home confinement and found guilty of conspiracy to commit treason and is also exiled from these lands. Thus is the decree of the King."
